For those who are considering submitting an affidavit in response to a COVID-19 immunization, the Saskatchewan Health Authority urges you not do, because they aren’t necessary. The SHA emphasizes that getting your shot is voluntary, because you have the option of being tested regularly. There is no mandatory vaccination under the Public Health Act.
The SHA says some individuals choose to interpret the public health measures and regulations as mandatory and have gone to the trouble of securing affidavits objecting to the vaccinations. The message is that because immunization is not mandatory, exemption is not required so these affidavits serve no purpose. Affidavits are not entered into any health database and will be destroyed on receipt.
