Chief Whitecap School in Stonebridge has sent a letter to parents and caregivers about an incident on Thursday where students were questioned by a man about being vaccinated, and urging them not to get immunized.

A few students reported to a staff member that a man approached during recess when they were playing in the park behind the elementary school.

Staff learned that this had happened on three other occasions as well, both during school time and after school. The Saskatoon Police Service has been contacted.

The school reminded parents to talk to students about never talking to strangers, telling someone if you see anyone or anything that concerns you, don’t get into a vehicle unless you have permission from your parent or guardian walk in pairs or in a group.
