Fire crews responded to home in the 300 block of Labine Crescent in the city’s Kensington neighbourhood just before 9 o’clock Sunday night for an accidental kitchen fire. A news release from the fire department says the fire originated from the stove. The first arriving crews extinguished the blaze in the kitchen while other arriving crews were assigned tactical duties. The fire had gotten into the cabinets and the wall behind the stove. Crews got the fire under control in under an hour. No damage estimate is available at this time.
