Maidstone R-C-M-P are continuing an investigation into a report of a robbery with a firearm that occurred on Highway 3 near the communities of Paradise Hill and Frenchman Butte.

The latest on the investigation is that no items were stolen from the victim during this incident.  Police were told that around 6:30 Sunday morning, a dark coloured, four-door pickup truck forced a white car off the road. The truck then rammed the car and a firearm was pointed at the lone driver of the car, who was able to get away, and reports no physical injuries.

RCMP say the driver didn’t know the occupants of the truck. The white car was not driveable and remained at the scene. Police say the truck, which had three people inside, will have damage to the right rear bumper with some white paint on it. The truck and the van have not yet been located.

One male is described as around 5-foot-10, slender and he wore glasses. He also had a black bandana over his face. One female was described as having black hair worn in a bun, and about 20 years old. A second female is described as having blonde/orange shoulder length hair and was wearing jeans and a red plaid shirt.

A tan brown van with a cracked windshield is also believed to be involved, and police were told there may have been as many as four people in the van. RCMP have been searching the area and patrols continue in the surrounding communities and detachment areas. Anyone with information is asked to call the R-C-M-P or their local police service.
