North Battleford RCMP say they responded to the 1400 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford at 11 am this past Sunday answering to a report of an injured man.

A 38 year old man had suffered injuries from an edged weapon as well as a being injured from what was suspected to be a BB gun.

A 16 year old youth is facing charges of Discharging a firearm with intent, Careless use of a firearm, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous purpose and Assault with a Weapon.

He made his first appearance Tuesday. The victim was treated and released from hospital. The investigation is still ongoing.
