The Prince Albert Police Service say their officers used a taser to control a situation from this past Friday evening in which a woman was threatening self-harm.
At about 10 p.m. on October 15, the P-A Police sent officers to a residence in the 1100 block of Branion Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a woman holding a knife, threatening self-harm, and refused multiple requests by police to put down the weapon. A taser was deployed and the woman was taken into custody safely at the scene. She was subsequently assessed by medical staff and will be connected with additional supports through the Police and Crisis Team.
