Just before noon on Tuesday, the Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a fire in a shredding room in the 1400 block of Fletcher Road.

The staff had evacuated before emergency crews arrived.

There was smoke when the firefighters arrived, but the Fire Department says the sprinkler system had activated and was keeping the fire contained.

The source of the fire was a paper baler and shredded paper. The estimated damage is $25,000.
