The Regina Police Service is looking for help in the investigation of an attempted child abduction. Over the noon hour today (Fri), a 9 year old girl was walking back to school in the area of 12th Avenue and Fairview Road, when she was approached from behind by a stranger. A man grabbed her, but she got away and ran to the school and reported the incident. It was also reported to police a red truck was running with the door open nearby. The victim wasn’t physically injured.

Schools in the area were notified and police presence around them was increased. Anyone who might have surveillance camera footage in the uplands community is asked to review it for any activity that might assist in the investigation.

The suspect is described as a white man around 40 to 50 years old, approximately six feet tall, with brown and grey medium-length hair, and tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a tank top and dirty, stained pants.
