Meadow Lake RCMP say a 27 year old woman won’t be in court until December in connection to that bizarre accident where a northbound car trying to pass a semi, hit the tractor trailer which was turning, and the ensuing crash ripped the roof of the car off but the vehicle kept driving.
The 27 year old woman faces a number of offences including impaired driving. The accident happened on October 21st on Highway 4 approximately 32 kilometres south of Meadow Lake.
The crash also destroyed the front windshield. The car then continued to drive to Meadow Lake before stopping at a home on the east side.
Officers followed the driver to the home and made an arrest. The RCMP investigation determined the woman was around four times the legal limit. They say a search of the car found six empty and one half-full bottle of alcohol.
The 27 year old woman is in court on December 6th charged with impaired operation of a conveyance, impaired operation while over the legal limit, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police and failure to stop after an accident.
