A Buena Vista man has been arrested and charged following a hit-and-run, motor vehicle-pedestrian collision just before noon on Sunday in the community of Buena Vista.

Fifty-one-year-old Shawn Ivey is charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm, failure to stop after accident resulting in bodily harm and operation of a conveyance while impaired by drugs causing bodily harm.

At 11:55 a.m. on October 31, Lumsden R-C-M-P responded to a report of an accident on Grand Avenue in Buena Vista.

The investigation determined that a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, which did not remain at the scene.

He was taken to hospital with what were described as serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

About an hour later, officers located and arrested Ivey at a home.  Ivey will appear in court in Regina on December 15.
