Students in the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School division collected 25,737 pounds of food this Halloween for the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre. Halloweening for Hunger was cancelled last year because of the pandemic, but made a comeback this year. Students at St. Joseph High School led the food-collection drive, but other schools in the division also took part, going door-to-door collecting food. Over the last 15 years, minus last year’s cancelled event, the students have collected over 140,000 pounds of food.
