One of top three starts to a season and top three October records in franchise-history, powered by superior special teams play, has helped an individual member of the Saskatoon Blades be recognized as the W-H-L’s Player-of-the-Month.

Centre Tristen Robins received the October salute today after posting seven goals amongst 21 points in 10 games…tops in the league. The soon-to-be 20-year-old Brandon product talked about what he’s trying to bring to the table on a daily basis…..

The Bridge City Bunch have started the season with an 8-2-1 record, the third-best 11-game beginning to a campaign in franchise history. All games were played in October, also the third-best mark for the 10th month of the year in the 58-year history of the Blue and Gold.  Associate coach Ryan Marsh says the good record is a credit to the players…..

The Blades own the W-H-L’s second-best power play, at 31.6 per cent, and top penalty kill, at 87.8 per cent thanks to 26 consecutive successful kills, going into November. Marsh says the special teams performance is what they strive for…..

Saskatoon is home to Swift Current Wednesday night at 7 at SaskTel Centre. The broadcast on CJWW begins at 6:30. The Bridge City Bunch then head to Prince Albert for their first meeting of the season with the Raiders on Friday at the Art Hauser Centre.
