The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to vehicle that had gone off the road and entered a small body of water near Highway 16 and Boychuk Drive early Sunday morning. Once firefighters arrived, they determined that they didn’t need the rescue boat as the water was only 3 to 4 feet deep. Water rescue technicians then entered the water to check for anyone inside the vehicle or in the body of water. It was then confirmed that one person safely escaped the vehicle and the water. Once it was confirmed that no one else needed assistance, the vehicle was pulled out of the water and the investigation has handed over to police.
