Prince Albert City Council has approved an action initiative to reduce homeless ness in Prince Albert.
A launch will be held in December to introduce the project to stakeholders and outline the goals and timelines.
The actions include engaging stakeholders across different jurisdictions to develop sector-specific solutions.
A news release from the City of Prince Albert says partners would include housing, mental health, addictions, policing, corrections, courts, businesses, and Indigenous and provincial governments, among others will take part to consider the causes and effects of homelessness and suitable actions to mitigate homelessness and its impacts.
Mayor Greg Dionne says homelessness is escalating to a crisis.
