Saskatchewan is reporting 182 new cases of COVID-19 on November 11th. The South East zone is registering the most in number of new cases at 38 with Regina at 36 and Central East with 27, rounding out the top three.
There are 1, 428 cases considered active, and 37.5 per cent of new cases, eligible for vaccination, were fully vaccinated.
There are 178 people in hospital which is a drop from Tuesday but there were also eight more deaths of individuals who tested positive for COVID-19. The death toll since the beginning of the pandemic is now at 886. Forty-nine of the people in hospital in Saskatchewan are being treated in an ICU.
In addition to those in an intensive care unit in Saskatchewan, there are 13 residents in out of province ICUs.
Highlights
- As of November 11th, there are 182 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 79,212 reported cases.
- The new cases are located in the Far North West (3), Far North East (4), North West (16), North Central (11), Saskatoon (26), Central West (5), Central East (27), Regina (36), South West (5), South Central (6) and South East (38) zones and five (5) new cases have pending residence information.
- Eight (8) cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Far North East (from August 31 (1)), North West (from September 24 (1), November 9 (3)), North Central (from November 9 (2)), and Regina (from November 7 (1)) zones
- 79,212 cases are confirmed:
- 19,346 cases are from the North area (8,602 North West, 7,941 North Central, 2,803 North East)
- 19,023 cases are from the Saskatoon area
- 15,551 cases are from the Regina area
- 9,737 cases are from the South area (2,131 South West, 2,885 South Central, 4,721 South East)
- 9,228 cases are from the Far North area (4,326 Far North West, 541 Far North Central, 4,361 Far North East)
- 5,758 cases are from the Central area (1,408 Central West, 4,350 Central East)
- 569 cases have pending residence information.
- 1,428 cases are considered active and 76,898 cases are considered recovered.
- Just over one-third (34.1%) of new cases are in the age category of 11 years or under.
- Almost two-fifths (37.5%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated.
- As of November 11th, a total of 178 individuals are hospitalized; including 129 inpatient hospitalizations, and 49 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 178 patients, 110 (61.8%) were not fully vaccinated.
- In addition to SK ICU counts, there are 13 residents in out of province ICUs. As these patients are receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in the dashboard. Since yesterday’s report, there has been one repatriation.
- Eight (8) new deaths reported today. 886 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
- 1,247,334 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of November 9, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,051,590 tests performed per million population. The national rate was 1,238,152 tests performed per million population.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 137 (11.4 new cases per 100,000).
