New cases of COVID-19 were back below 100 in Monday’s dashboard reading from the Government of Saskatchewan website, but the number of hospitalized novel coronavirus cases in provincial hospitals went up by three.
The latest dashboard update had 97 new cases, along with 139 recoveries and two new COVID-19-related fatalities, leaving 1,201 active cases in Saskatchewan. From that number, 171 individuals are in hospital, including 45 infections being treated in an I-C-U. The I-C-U number doesn’t 12 provincial residents in Ontario I-C-Us. On Sunday, 775 of 1,029 doses of vaccine administered made the recipient fully vaccinated while there 1,117 COVID-19 tests performed.
Highlights
- As of November 15th, there are 97 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 79,594 reported cases.
- The new cases are located in the North West (9), North Central (16), Saskatoon (22), Central West (2), Central East (4), Regina (17), South West (3), South Central (14) and South East (8) zones and two (2) new cases have pending residence information.
- Six (6) cases with pending residence information were assigned to the North West (from September 25 (1), September 28 (1), September 30 (2) and November 13 (2)) zone.

- 9,237 cases are from the Far North area (4,334 Far North West, 541 Far North Central, 4,362 Far North East)
- 5,816 cases are from the Central area (1,413 Central West, 4,403 Central East)
- 561 cases have pending residence information
- 1,201 cases are considered active and 77,497 cases are considered recovered
- Over one-fourth (27.8%) of new cases are in the age category of 11 or under and 40 to 59 years of age each
- One-half (50.0%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated
- As of November 15th, a total of 171 individuals are hospitalized; including 126 inpatient hospitalizations, and 45 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 171 patients, 112 (65.5%) were not fully vaccinated.
- In addition to SK ICUs, there are 12 residents in out-of-province ICUs. As these patients are receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in the dashboard.
- Two (2) new deaths reported today. 896 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%
- 1,252,889 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of November 12, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,054,954 tests performed per million. The national rate was 1,243,414 tests performed per million.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 110 (9.1 new cases per 100,000).

On October 22nd, we revised the headings on the “COVID-19 new cases and vaccination status” table. The heading for Vaccinated was updated to “First dose >=21.” The data in this table has always been based on this definition.
