Monday’s question period included a discussion about paid sick leave of absence for workers.
The provincial opposition says that not enough support is provided for workers in the province. Saskatoon University MLA Jennifer Bowes says that many are forced to go to work during the pandemic.
Labour Relations and Workplace Safety Minister Don Morgan says that the best way to stop the spread of COVID-19 is the vaccine.
Bowes says that the Sask. Party reliance of the vaccine is not enough and that many residents were forced to work to cover expenses that were caused by the pandemic. Bowes also said that Saskatchewan’s handling of the pandemic has led to not only the highest death rate due to COVID and the lowest job growth in the country. (CKRM)
