Beginning Monday morning at 8 a.m., Saskatchewan Health Authority Long Term Care homes and affiliates in and around Saskatoon will move to the Recovery Phase of Family Presence Restrictions. This phase is intended to be a safe progression back towards pre-pandemic Open Family Presence meaning that essential family and support persons would be welcomed in at anytime to support a patient receiving care. In a news release, the SHA is saying that the move is being made as outbreaks in Saskatoon Long Term Care homes have decreased and COVID-19 transmission rates are down along with proof of vaccination requirements being put into place.
That means there will be no limits on the number of visitors designated to a resident or present at a time for each resident. Larger groups will be required to schedule common areas prior to their visit.
