There were no new COVID-19-related deaths in Saskatchewan while the seven-day average for new cases is back below 100 and the number of active cases of the novel coronavirus dipped back below one thousand.
Wednesday’s dashboard update on the provincial government website had 90 new cases along with 110 recoveries, leaving 994 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan. The seven-day average for new cases is at 95 while the provincial death total remains at 914.
Of the 994 active cases, 148 people with the virus are in hospital, including 37 infections being treated in an I-C-U.
Another seven Saskatchewan residents are in Ontario hospital I-C-Us. In addition, 1,013 people received at least a second dose of vaccine to make them fully immunized against COVID-19 from Tuesday’s total of 1,366 shots handed out. There were 2,091 COVID-19 tests performed Tuesday, the most in a day since November 11.

- As of November 24th, there are 90 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 80,571 reported cases.
- The new cases are located in the Far North West (6), Far North East (4), North West (7), North Central (7), North East (2), Saskatoon (19), Central West (2), Central East (10), Regina (12), South Central (2), and South East (19) zones.
- 11 cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Far North East (from November 17 (1)), North West (from November 19 (1), November 22 (5)), North East (from November 22 (1)), Saskatoon (from November 22 (1)), Central East (from November 22 (1)), and South Central (from November 22 (1)) zones.
- 80,571 cases are confirmed
- 19,678 cases are from the North area (8,750 North West, 8,103 North Central, 2,825 North East)
- 19,260 cases are from the Saskatoon area
- 15,761 cases are from the Regina area
- 10,032 cases are from the South area (2,174 South West, 2,949 South Central, 4,909 South East)
- 9,330 cases are from the Far North area (4,388 Far North West, 541 Far North Central, 4,401 Far North East)
- 5,958 cases are from the Central area (1,434 Central West, 4,524 Central East)
- 552 cases have pending residence information
- 994 cases are considered active and 78,663 cases are considered recovered.
- One-third (33.3%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39 years.
- Almost one-half (45.1%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) was fully vaccinated.
- As of November 24th, a total of 148 individuals are hospitalized; including 111 inpatient hospitalizations, and 37 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 148 patients, 99 (66.9%) were not fully vaccinated.
- In addition to SK ICUs, there are seven (7) residents receiving out-of-province care in hospital. As these patients are receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in the dashboard.
- No (0) new deaths reported today. 914 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1% .
- 1,267,853 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of November 22, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 1,068,654 tests performed per million. The national rate was 1,260,652 tests performed per million.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 95 (7.9 new cases per 100,000).
