Three officers received an award from MADD Canada and SGI named in memory of the Van de Vorst family, who lost their lives in an impaired driving collision near Saskatoon in early 2016.
Constable Rob Lindsay was responsible for removing 18 impaired drivers from the road between April 2020 and April 2021. Constable Dwight LeBlue and Constable Curtis Stasiw each helped remove 11 impaired drivers during that same period.
This is the second straight year that Constable Lindsay has received the Van de Vorst Family Award.
Between April 2020 and April 2021, Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) members removed 104 impaired drivers from the road.
