SGI put the spotlight on distracted driving for their October traffic safety focus. Throughout the month, 896 tickets were issued, 756 of which were for cell phone use. SGI’s Tyler McMurchy has a money saving tip for motorists on this Black Friday. “I got a great way to do that and it’s not driving distracted because by doing that you will save yourself at least $580 dollars by not getting yourself one of those very expensive distracted driving tickets.” In addition, more than 57 hundred tickets were handed out for speeding and aggressive driving, 400 for impaired driving, and 311 for seat restraint violations.
