The Regina SWAT Team took a 36 year-old man into custody Saturday night following an investigation by the Regina Police Service in the 1000 block of McTavish Street.

Police say Harold Hanson was taken into custody by SWAT members and is facing a number of charges including robbery, assault with a weapon, kidnapping and aggravated assault, among others.

Hanson had a Canada-wide warrant out for his arrest. He also is facing previous charges for discharging a firearm in a reckless manner and possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order.

Hanson will make his first court appearance Monday morning.
