As of today (Tues), the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s Patient Booking System can be used to book a COVID-19 test online.
The online booking tool is available for testing sites across the province.
The SHA says anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID or who has been informed that they may have been exposed to COVID should be tested as soon as possible. Officials also point out that booking online makes it possible to see all the dates and times that may work if drive-thru or walk-in testing is not an option.
If you require proof of a negative test before you travel or before attending an event, the SHA says you need to access user-pay COVID-19 asymptomatic testing through a private lab.
The President of the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency says as of 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, there were 42 new cases of COVID-19; 133 people in the hospital with 37 in an ICU.
Marlo Pritchard adds that there are also 55 non-COVID patients in an ICU for a total of 92.
Four Saskatchewan patients are receiving care in Ontario, and no repatriations are expected in the next two days.
As of Monday, over 22,000 vaccine appointments had been made for children age 5 to 11.
