As of today (tues) travelers wanting to board a plane or train in Canada, or to enter Canada, will have to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
The policy came into effect on October 30th, but since then there has been a grace period where a negative molecular test no older than 72 hours would be accepted.
However that ends today.
Air Canada and WestJet have confirmed that all of their passengers will be asked for proof of vaccination and not just some at random.
Masks and health screenings will also still be mandatory.
The federal government is also warning that even Canadians and permanent residents abroad will not be able to return home without a full slate of approved vaccines.
