It appears the University of Saskatchewan will continue to require proof of vaccination going into the Winter 2022 session while Sask Polytech has walked back their policy somewhat.
USask says anyone planning on attending in-person learning or working at a USask location for the Winter Term must provide proof of full vaccination prior to Jan. 4, 2022.
Sask Polytech encourages students and employees to have both doses of vaccine but now say based on guidance from the provincial government, the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Province’s Chief Medical Health Officer, it will extend the rapid testing alternative into Winter 2022.
There will, however, be two changes; rapid testing will increase to three times a week and will be at the individual’s own cost, on their own time. Proof of vaccination is required for those fully vaccinated.
