Two men have been charged with attempted murder, forcible confinement, robbery and aggravated assault following on incident over the weekend, about 25 kilometres southeast of Prince Albert.

Forty-four year old Patrick Bear and 24 year old Brandon Bear appeared in provincial court on Tuesday.

RCMP received a report on Saturday afternoon that a man had been assaulted and shot. The initial investigation determined the victim had been shot multiple times at different locations on the Muskoday First Nation over several hours. The man was able to escape and another person drove him to a safe location. He remains in hospital with critical injuries.

On Sunday, RCMP arrested Patrick and Brandon Bear without incident at a home on the Muskoday First Nation. A third person was also taken into custody, but was later released without charges.

Police are looking to locate two stolen vehicles in relation to the investigation. They are a grey Dodge Ram 3500 (Sask license plate 835 HVC) and a black Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi (Sask license plate 848 KXE)
