On Wednesday, RCMP officers from the Saskatoon Crime Reduction Team along those from the Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit, the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team, Digital Forensic Services and those from the Warman detachment searched a vehicle and a home in Asquith in relation to an ongoing investigation. police seized drug trafficking paraphernalia and two firearms, one which was loaded. Two men were arrested and charged. 40 year-old Gregory Friesen of Asquith and 26 year-old Austin Derkatz of Red Deer face a number of charges including possession of property obtained by crime. Both men appeared in Saskatoon court today (fri).
