Around 11:30 Saturday night, Saskatoon Police responded to a medical call at an apartment building in the 300 block of 6th Avenue North. In a news release, police say a 58 year-old man became upset that police and EMS crews were there and picked up a butcher knife and charged at the officers and EMS personnel. A CEW was the used by police causing the man to drop the knife. No one was injured. The 58 year-old faces charges of assaulting a police officer with a weapon.
