Battleford RCMP say they are aware of a video that has circulated on social media which depicts an apparent assault with a weapon occurring in a parking lot.

Police confirm that a complaint was made at the time of the incident which was shortly before 5 p.m. on December 12th. The incident took place near a business in the town of Battleford.

RCMP say they located a suspect a short time later and made an arrest without incident.

However, no weapon was located when the arrest was made, and at this time no victim has been identified, nor has one come forward. RCMP say checks they made at hospitals in the area have also come back negative.

While no charges have been laid as yet, the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact the North Battleford RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
