The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Regina on September 9th. Electronic devices were seized for further forensic analysis.

The investigation was initiated in connection to possession and distribution of child pornography through a popular online social media application. On Monday this week, forty-one-year-old Keith Kahnapace of Regina was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography and distribution of Child Pornography.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is made up of Staff Sergeant Shawn Stubbs and investigators from Prince Albert Police Service, RCMP, Regina and Saskatoon Police Services.

Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
