SaskTel will begin to deploy its 5G wireless network in parts of Regina. That’s where the initial launch takes place with plans to expand the 5G network throughout Regina and Saskatoon in Spring 2022.

The Crown corporation describes 5G as ultra-fast data speeds, massive network capacity and near instantaneous connection.

The 5G network is powered by Samsung.

The government owned telecommunications company sees the rollout as an opportunity to perform tests in a real world setting.
