The Saskatoon Blades are in Prince Albert Friday night to start a home-and-home series prior to the Christmas break.
The return match is Saturday night at 7 at SaskTel Centre and Teddy Bear Toss night. Going just 5-10-0 since a 9-2-1 start, the Bridge City Bunch finds themselves needing wins against their arch-rivals, who swept them in a home-and-home series last month. The 14-12-1 Blue and Gold are tied with Moose Jaw and Brandon for second place in the East Division and fourth spot in the Eastern Conference, just five points ahead of 11-13-2 P-A, who presently sit outside the Eastern Conference playoffs, going into four meetings before the end of the 2021 calendar year. However, Blades’ head coach Brennan Sonne isn’t worried about scoreboard-watching and standings…..
Friday night’s game from Prince Albert will be broadcast on CJWW, starting with pre-game talk at 6:30.
