A 9-1-1 call last night around 7 p.m. sent police to the 2000 block of Wilson Crescent to a domestic dispute.

The Saskatoon Police Service says officers witnessed a woman being assaulted inside the home and forced entry to the home. They were met at the door by a man who refused to follow demands and resisted arrest.

A Conducted Energy Weapon was used and one person was taken into custody.

A 22 year old man was assessed by Medavie Health Services paramedics at the scene before being taken to police detention.

Police say the man was under the influence of an intoxicant and is now facing a charge of Assault and Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest.
