A 23-year-old Regina man faces two charges after the vehicle he was driving hit a building, injuring a man inside.
At about 2:22 a.m., Monday, police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision with injuries in the 2800 block of 25th Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Joel Raju standing beside a vehicle that ran into an apartment building, doing so with enough force to push some of the exterior wall and window inward into one of the suites. A 27-year-old male resident was sleeping below the point where the vehicle hit the building and was taken to hospital by E-M-S for treatment of injuries. Raju is charged with impaired operation of a conveyance, causing bodily harm and exceed 80 milligrams blood alcohol. Raju will appear in court on January 13.
