The highway Hotline has added 10 new cameras to its repertoire for sharing current road conditions in the province.

The new cameras are located on Highway 1 east of Chaplin and near Gull Lake, Highway 7 near Alsask, Highway 9 north of Moose Mountain and between Yorkton and Canora; Highway 10 at Melville; Highway 16 at Colonsay; Highway 39 east of the Estevan bypass and near Roche Percee.

The Government of Saskatchewan is reminding motorists to make a plan to travel safely over the holidays by checking in with the Highway Hotline.

Highways Minister Fred Bradshaw says the government is listening to the public, and citizens have indicated they would like to see more cameras available to help plan for travel.

Highway Hotline staff also receive regular updates from equipment operators in the field across Saskatchewan’s 26,000 km provincial highway network.
