RCMP are looking for tips after a hundred flax bales went up in flames this month.

The bales were stacked in a field just north of Kayville on the east side of Highway #334.

Coronach/Bengough RCMP say the flax bales were destroyed by fire sometime between December 10 and 16.

The fire is considered suspicious. RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact the Coronach Detachment or Crime Stoppers.

Saskatchewan producers have been under considerable pressures due to drought and shortage of feed for the winter to the point that the Hay West initiative was resurrected in 2021 to help struggling western producers.
