A Saskatoon man who accused an RCMP officer of assault has himself now been charged.
RCMP say the public complaint of alleged inappropriate misconduct by a Rosetown RCMP officer stemmed from an impaired driving investigation in late April of this year.
An RCMP officer not associated with the Rosetown Detachment investigated and determined a false statement was made accusing the Rosetown RCMP officer of assault.
Fifty-year-old Jason Sutherland of Saskatoon is charged with one count, commit public mischief. He is in Saskatoon court January 26th.
