A teen from the La Ronge area has been arrested in connection to the investigation of the homicide of 46 year old Jennifer Hendry in Air Ronge. The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit says no other suspects are being sought, and it’s not believed the two knew each other. The boy is charged with first degree murder and robbery.
Inspector Joshua Graham from the Major Crimes Unit says, Information received from community members was pivotal to this investigation. This incident has left Jennifer’s loved ones, and the Air Ronge area, grieving. We’re grateful the community was willing to assist our investigators.”
RCMP say Jennifer Hendry was killed early last Saturday morning at her home in Air Ronge. At the time, police advised local residents there may have been other property-related crimes in the area, so they should keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
