The opposition NDP has released a copy of a letter sent to Saskatoon doctors from the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
The New Democrats say it is an urgent notice from the SHA to Saskatoon doctors on nearly 40 patients with no beds available for them.
The NDP points to COVID-19 hospitalizations saying that they have doubled in the last two weeks.
The letter asks doctors to re-evaluate previously admitted patients and discharge those ready to go home in order to free up in-hospital beds.
On Sunday Saskatoon had 409 of the new COVID-19 cases while Regina had 380, the 1,427 confirmed infections yesterday.
No new deaths were reported on the weekend but there are 162 people in hospital with 12 of those individuals being treated in an ICU..
