Saskatoon Police say officers who were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a home in the 200 block of Avenue O South shortly before 9:30 p.m. last night say they witnessed a man assaulting a woman.

Officers say the man refused to listen to their commands and a CEW was deployed to take him into custody. Their investigation also indicated the suspect had threatened others in the home with a knife.

The suspect is believed to have been under the influence of an intoxicant at the time. No one was hurt.

The 24-year-old is charged with two counts each of Assault with a Weapon and Utter Threats to Cause Death as well as Assault, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.
