Rosetown RCMP say a 61 year old man from Elrose died in an accident between two pick-up trucks on Sunday.

The call came in at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon about a motor vehicle collision on Highway #15 approximately 10 kilometres west of Sovereign.

The victim who was driving the westbound truck was pronounced deceased at the scene. The two people in the eastbound truck were taken to hospital: a man driving was transported by STARS with what are described as serious injuries while a woman passenger was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Rosetown RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
