Saskatoon Public Schools is temporarily moving Centennial Collegiate and John Dolan School to remote learning after consulting with the Saskatchewan Health Authority. All classes at Centennial Collegiate will be online as of Tuesday, and all extracurricular activities are on hold until in-person learning continues.
A news release from the school division says students are expected to return to in-class learning next Monday. John Dolan School moves to remote learning tomorrow (Tues) and Wednesday, due to the unavailability of necessary nursing staff at the school, which provides a specialized education program for students with multiple disabilities and those who are medically fragile. It’s expected classes will be return to in person on Thursday.
From the first day of classes on January 4th through this past Sunday, Saskatoon Public Schools had 705 positive cases of COVID-19.
They were self-reported by families and staff members using at-home rapid tests. Saskatoon public Schools says these are not lab-confirmed cases where they were notified by the SHA.
