A 48 year-old man of the Black Lake First Nation has been charged with one count of manslaughter without a firearm in connection to a December 11th incident on the First Nation. Around 11 p.m. that night, officers responded to a report of assault. An injured man was located on a road in the community and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. On December 18th, the victim died in hospital as a result of his injuries. Donny Robillard has been arrested on this charge and remanded into custody until his next court appearance in La Ronge on February 2nd. Robillard is also facing aggravated assault and and assault with a weapon charges.
