Saskatchewan Polytechnic has received Microsoft Global Training Partner status in Canada. That means the post-secondary institution will be able to assist faculty and instructors at institutions around the globe by offering Microsoft training, resources and technology to improve teaching and learning outcomes on a global scale. Sask Polytech President and CEO Dr. Larry Rosia says “As a Microsoft Global Training Partner, Sask Polytech faculty, have developed the expertise to incorporate Microsoft technology virtually and in-person to enhance the student learning experience and ensure our students are empowered with future-relevant skills.” A news release states that Sask Polytech faculty are well-established specialists in adult learning and training other educators and that the in-house expertise and mentorship, when equipped with Microsoft tools and tech, positions the post-secondary institution to help other schools across the country and around the world to build their capacity and grow their own proficiencies in Microsoft’s technologies.

Sask Polytech has been a global leader in training other post-secondary educators within Canada, winning the 2021 Microsoft Global Training Partner of the Year Award for Skilling in the Americas.
