A Tuesday morning incident has resulted in two Regina being arrested and charged.

Thirty-four-year-old Dexter Leigh Blaine Trafiak faces seven charges while 18-year-old Asia Kado Benson is charged with assault with a weapon after Regina Police responded to a report of a man pointing a firearm at a 17-year-old female, who was seated in a parked vehicle at about 6:55 a.m. on January 25th. The female victim was not physically injured in the incident. Subsequently, police learned that two males were involved, approaching the parked vehicle in east Regina and pointing firearms at the female in the passenger seat. The driver and passenger of the vehicle escaped by driving away from the scene. The two men were identified and tracked to a house in the 1200 block of King Street where they were arrested with ammunition and a handgun seized as evidence. Both Trafiak and Benson made their first court appearances on Wednesday morning in Regina Provincial Court.
