Hospitalization numbers for people who have tested positive for COVID-19 has risen by two, for a total of 372, including 40 in an ICU. On Tuesday, the Saskatchewan Medical Association urged the government to continue the proof of vaccination or a negative test protocols until hospitalizations fall into the low double digits and fewer than ten COVID patients are in an ICU. From Wednesday’s numbers, 133 inpatient hospitalizations are COVID-related while 173 are incidental and 26 aren’t yet determined. Of the 40 in ICUs, 30 are COVID-related, nine are incidental infections and one child is in pediatric or neonatal care. Four more people who tested positive for the virus have died, for a total of 997.

- 11 SK residents tested out-of-province were added to the Saskatoon (from January 27 (1), January 29 (1), January 30 (2)), Central West (from January 31 (1)), Central East (from January 31 (1)), Regina (from January 26 (1), January 30 (1), January 31 (1)), and South East (from January 31 (2)) zones.
