Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools bus service has been cancelled for elementary school students (pre-kindergarten – Grade 8) in Saskatoon, Warman and Martensville;
high school students from Martensville and Warman who get bused to Bishop James Mahoney High School; and intensive-needs high school buses in Saskatoon.
In the CEF or French School Division, buses are cancelled for North Battleford’s École Père Mercure, rural bus routes are cancelled this morning for Saskatoon’s École canadienne-française’s Pavillon Monique-Rousseau (elementary) and Pavillon Gustave-Dubois. The schools remain open.
In the Saskatoon public school division, all school buses are cancelled due to the extreme cold temperatures and the cancellation is in effect for the entire day. All schools are open with classes running as scheduled.
School division policy is to cancel bus service in Saskatoon when the temperature, including wind chill, reaches -45 C.
