Saskatchewan’s NDP Leader is calling on the Premier to reconvene the Legislature for an emergency debate on the planned changes to public health measures and the Omicron wave. Ryan Meili states that there has been an over 380 per cent increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations since the beginning of January, along with a rise in child hospitalizations.

He considers Premier Scott Moe’s comments about vaccines not working in the Omicron wave misinformation, so he wants the Legislature reconvened so the Premier can answer the questions the Official Opposition wants to pose. He says, in the Legislature, Scott Moe can’t hide. Meili describes leadership as doing the right thing, even when it isn’t easy.
