There was an accident involving a convoy near Brooks, Alberta on Saturday.
RCMP were called to Highway 1 just west of Brooks at 1:45 p.m. when a pick up truck in a convoy which included a slowly moving tractor was hit from behind by another pick up truck, pushing it off the road. That same truck then pushed on and hit the left rear tire of the farm tractor shearing it completely off.

The 45-year-old man driving the second truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 27 year old male passenger in the pick up which was hit was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries while the driver of that vehicle wasn’t hurt. A 38 year old man in the farm tractor had minor injuries.
As a result of convoys around Alberta on the weekend traffic in several areas of the province is moving slow and Alberta RCMP say travelling at the posted speed limit will reduce the chance of other motorists becoming impatient.
This accident remains under investigation.
