Premier Scott Moe is asking protestors not to block border crossings during demonstrations that are planned for this weekend.

The premier took to Twitter yesterday (fri) saying in a message “Your Saskatchewan government has heard and understands your concerns. We are removing all remaining provincial COVID-19 mandates by the end of this month and have called on the federal government to release a plan doing the same.” Moe added that “I am asking you to exercise that right and make your voices heard without impeding the rights of others to cross the border.”

An event is planned for the Regway Border crossing on Highway 6 for this weekend, while next week a demonstration is planned for the North Portal crossing on Highway 39. A blockade at the border crossing in Coutts, Alberta also continues along with one in Emerson, Manitoba.
